Position Description: ? Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and directs care for premature neonatal, pediatric and adult patients during transport in accordance with departmental standards of care and practice. ? Participates in the education of referral staff, patients, parents and CHMCA staff. ? Able to work on an on-call basis as needed. ? Qualifications Required: ? Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio . ? Current Health Care Provider BLS training is required. ? Minimum three years critical care experience with demonstrated ability of critical thinking skills. ?? ?? PALS, ACLS, ATLS, NRP, ABLS and EMT-B is required within one year of hire for critical care areas, ED, Surgical Services, Sedation Services, and Transport. American Heart Association (AHA) is the organization designated for BLS, ACLS, PEARS and PALS for clarification see Department of Nursing Training Requirements for CPR and Resuscitation policy. A nursing certification such as CEN, CFRN, CTRN, or CNPT must be obtained within 2 years of employment. Successful completion of transport orientation and maintenance of airway / procedural skills. ? The ability to verbally communicate with all members of the health care team, patients and their families is required.
